A Bit About Me

As a self-empowerment coach, I assist clients in regaining their sense of authenticity, purpose, and autonomy. I have a passion for helping individuals, particularly members of the LGBTQ+ community and those who have experienced religious trauma, to rediscover and foster self-love, and to create a fulfilling life guided by universal principles.

I was raised in the Christian church and as a teenager, I fell in love with God.  At the same time, I was also beginning to understand that I was a gay man. Everything I was taught in church about homosexuality caused me to hide this from everyone around me.  I started to try to numb myself to my attraction.  I rejected my attraction. I rejected myself.

It took me a long time to shake the the shame caused by the false belief that I was unworthy of love and step into the power of my authenticity.

While I rejected this part of myself and prayed to be delivered from the demon of homosexuality, I loved the church and the roles I played in it. I also started teaching the same things I was taught about being gay.  I spent my young adult life dating women I wasn't sexually attracted to and using my commitment to being celibate as an offering to God as an excuse to not have sex.

It took me a long time to shake the shame caused by the false belief that I was unworthy of love and step into the power of my authenticity.  And it began one day, at the beginning of my senior year of college, sitting in my car on campus when I said to God, "I'm tired of fighting these feelings.  And I just can't believe that You would abandon me and damn me to hell for being how I am. So I'm going to embrace these feelings, embrace who I am. And if this isn't my path, show me my path and I will follow it."

That path has led me here.

Like many of my clients, I have felt oppressed and defeated by external factors, whether it be societal, cultural, or religious expectations. My own experiences as a black, gay man have given me a unique perspective on these challenges, and I understand the difficulties of wanting to continue living in the face of adversity.

Through my own journey, I found solace and understanding in my relationship with God, which allowed me to learn to love myself and trust in the divine presence in my life. This has enabled me to live authentically and achieve true success.

My approach is rooted in the principles of self-discovery and personal growth. Through a combination of coaching, therapy, and energy healing techniques, I help clients uncover and release the limiting beliefs and emotional blocks that have held them back. This process leads to a deeper understanding of their true selves and their unique gifts, allowing them to live with authenticity and purpose.

I also incorporate mindfulness and meditation practices into my coaching, as these techniques help to cultivate self-awareness and inner peace. By tapping into the power of their own minds, clients are able to connect with their inner wisdom and access their own innate healing abilities.

My goal is to empower clients to take control of their lives and to live with joy and purpose. Whether they are looking to heal from past trauma, create meaningful relationships, or achieve their goals, I am committed to supporting them every step of the way.

Together, we will create a customized plan that incorporates their individual needs and goals. Whether through one-on-one coaching sessions or group programs, I am dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their authentic selves and develop the skills and self-confidence they need to live fulfilling lives.

My mission is to empower others, particularly members of the LGBTQ+ community, to reclaim their power and experience joy through self-love and authentic living. I offer one-on-one coaching and group programs that support clients in healing from shame and guilt, and in building empowering self-images, allowing them to live with confidence and passion.
